The Gator Chill
Okay, so this photo isn't exactly representative of spring, but it did catch your attention! This was taken by my husband Sunil of his car when we lived in Rochester, NY from 2002-2004. We thoroughly enjoyed the snow, the sparkle of icicles and going sledding like little kids. And having experienced that, we have appreciated every sunshine-filled day here and we walk the beaches and river fronts as often as we can.
As for our March newsletter, we got the blues. Cool blue skies that is! Opening our home studio window to the cool breezes of the backyard and the blue sky above, we can't help but think of great product ideas.
We always have exciting changes happening in our company and if this is your first acquaintance to our monthly newsletter, then we can't wait to get to know you better!

On A Personal Note
I have to admit that turning 35 last December was not easy. I looked in the mirror and thought, "What! I'm in my mid-thirties?" I wasn't sure if it meant sudden wardrobe changes, updates to my hair or visits to that forbidden place...the gym. I've never been one to make new year resolutions or year-long commitments, so I decided I would try and be happy in the moment. But when I went to the mall, the junior section of clothing which I loved seemed like it was too cute for me, yet the petite's section screamed of polyester boredom. What was I to do? The makeup counter was not forgiving either. I guess when you hit this age, you are offered a plethora of anti-aging formulas. This doesn't help my needing to feel positive about getting older. But reality hit many years ago when I was first called "Ma'am" by a sweet grocery bag clerk. He was probably 16 years old and had no idea what pain he inflicted by being so polite. Recently, my girlfriend and I were joking about life's quandries, when she mentioned her "advancing age". Wow, what a great term to capture what we encounter year after year. I guess we are advancing, not aging. Growing not grumbling. Suddenly my disposition about age changed and even though I'm quick to find a freckle and a new wrinkle before I find my smile, I can remind myself that it all leads to advancement.
