New Seasons, New Styles

Autumn is just around the corner and we are excited that a new season is unfolding before us once again. Since our last newsletter in June, we have been very busy with various marketing campaigns as well as designing new styles that we’re sure you can find only at Sunisha Designs. Events:
Have you visited the swankiest most stylish spot to hit Atlantic Beach? Called “Sollessa”, it’s a place to try on the latest fashions, get a fabulous haircut, savor tasty wines and feel as though you’ve been on vacation all the while. We’re excited to be their featured local artist at this month’s wine tasting. Join us on Friday, September 23rd from 7:00 – 9:00pm to sip on a variety of lip-smacking wines while shopping for our array of beautiful handmade Wine Bags. Custom Orders will also be taken. On Saturday, October 15th, from 6:00am – 5:00pm, we are collaborating with a host of artistic and talented women for the first ever Art Expressions Art Show, located in the yard of Cottage By the Sea at 4th Avenue South and A1A. This fabulous art show will get you in the holiday spirit as it will be showcasing handmade items including Sunisha Designs' wine & gift bags and occasion cards; jewelry, silk scarves, hand-painted stemware, dream collages, parchment paper designs, acrylics and watercolor art. Product News:
We’re delighted that our customers (you!) are taking advantage of our Customer Loyalty program introduced in June. As a reminder, there are no cards to keep, no punches to fill…we’ll do all the record keeping for you. With every six purchases, you can choose a Sunisha Designs’ product valued at $12 or less for free. This program also includes custom order purchases. So, if you haven’t stopped by our home studio yet, give us a call and come on over!

Although our Occasion Cards section remains “Under Construction” on our website, we have been using this time quite constructively! We have amassed new papers, textiles, fabrics and knickknacks that have taken our cards to new levels of design and art. If you are not able to make it to our shows, do make an appointment to view these new creations. If you need custom cards made for weddings, thank you’s or smaller events, we can provide!

Retail Haven:
There’s a place called Heaven and then there’s a place called Haven, and somehow, they both mean the same thing. Haven, a sweet gift shop located at 2000 S. Third St. in Jacksonville Beach is filled with unique handmade accessories, dishware, stationary, jewelry and so much more. A select collection of our products is now at the store and we can’t wait for you to pick something wonderful for yourself or for a friend. New items from artists local and far are continually being stocked, so be sure to visit this lil’ Haven soon! (904-246-1922)

On a Personal Note:
If you’re a business owner, you know how many pots you have to keep filled and how many hats you have to wear…..all at once. But I personally thrive on an active schedule that allows me no room for boredom. Naps, yes! Complaints? No! For those of you who may not know, my husband Sunil and I are expecting our first addition to the family in just a few weeks. We are thrilled, nervous and excited at this new turn in our lives. Sunisha Designs will continue to serve its loyal customers and welcome new ones. Already, our soon to be bundle of joy has inspired a Baby Joshi line that will launch in January 2006. So, do stay tuned as we introduce our “Designer in the Making” soon!

We wish all of those affected by Hurricane Katrina safety, security and solace that God is looking over us all. Don’t use tomorrow to appreciate someone when you can show them your love today.
