  Welcome to Sunisha Designs, Inc.

Launched by Manisha S. Joshi in October of 2004, our goal was to create unique products that entice the eye. We originally began our company as a new concept in gifting. "I remember holidays and special occasions where beautiful wrapping paper was being thrown away just after one use. I thought, why not create packaging that can be kept or reused?" And thus, Sunisha Designs was born. Besides being perfect for birthdays, anniversaries and corporate gifts, our reusable wine and gift bags make wonderful hostess gifts and unique event and bridal party favors.

"Our company name, "Sunisha" stems from my first name, Manisha and my husband's name, Sunil. It is his determination and belief in me that encouraged me to launch Sunisha Designs and pursue my passion of creating and designing products that I hope, you as our customer, will treasure for years to come. Vintage fabrics, satin ribbons, blooming flowers, hand painted images…these are just a few things we love to fuse together to make products that stand out among the mass merchanised items of today. All of our products are handmade with brilliant artistry and are each individual in style, character and taste. Just like you. Years after giving the gift, our unique bags and occasion cards will find many uses. Some of our customers find them so beautiful; our products adorn their boudoirs and mantels. Drugstore paper bags stuffed with tissue paper are so passe. We know you want to do better than that! Fred Astaire knew how to live life when he said, “Do it big, do it right and do it with style.” 

If you're wondering how our handbags entered our product line, well read on. "My friends and customers had been asking me to design handbags as beautiful and unique as our gift bags. After months of research and finally learning how to use a sewing machine, we launched our first collection of handbags in May 2005." says Manisha. "The best part is that we can custom make the handbag to accessorize any outfit, style or event. Sunisha Designs is Jacksonville's only custom handbag design company and our customers love the atmosphere of our one-on-one service and the array of choices they have in choosing a woman's most coveted accessory...a customizable Handbag. Nothing is duplicated…oh so couture!"

We are now entering the exciting bridal market with an entire collection of bridal accessories named the Blushing Bride due to launch this year in March.  

Charity and Community Involvement:

Sunisha Designs is dedicated to supporting local organizations and charities via monetary and in-kind donations. Supporting causes that are near and dear to us help to enrich the community we live in. It's our way of giving back to the organizations that give so much. Partnering with Local Designers:

When we meet someone whose designs or products wow us, they are immediately invited into the Sunisha Designs family. Our collaborations have included Jan Walker who handquilted our fabulous collection of baby quilts and Ola Iyewarun who handweaved baskets. Although we no longer carry their lines of products, we refer to them often and welcome new partnerships. However, artists must believe in the same philosophy we do of creating unique handmade items.

Retail Experience:

We enjoyed a 9-month stint with Fine Flowers in San Marco. It is a wonderful flower and gift boutique just next to the Cake Shop of San Jose. Owners Susan and Aarron were great to work with and our style meshed perfectly with their design asthetics. We loved the experience of playing shop, but customers still beckoned to come to our home studio, so we moved our products back home. We also were lucky to have our products sold at HAVEN in Jacksonville Beach, Pampered & Polished Spa in Arlington and Southside Cellars in the Southside area.

1. All of our products are made right here in Jacksonville, FL, yet we can ship nationwide. You won't find a "made in China" label on our items.

2. Our products are handmade with utmost quality and care with designs you just can't find anywhere else. We don't mass produce, yet we can handmake our products to your liking en masse.

3. Our products are environmentally friendly - we've rarely been found to throw away even a scrap of fabric! And our gift wraps are reusable time and time again.

4. We offer a 30% wholesale discount to all retailers with a minimum purchase of only 20 items.

5. You can customize any of our products to your liking and go the extra mile finding the most unique accessories and embellishments. Customization at no extra cost? Only here!

6. Sip and shop at our home studio. Where else can you sip coffee, savor pastries and shop at the same time?

7. We are open at the time that best suits you. Our Home Studio is appointment-only based so that we can accomodate you into mornings, evenings, weekends or lunch - we make your time our time. 

8. Our products can't be found or duplicated anywhere else, who wouldn't love that? We only carry 1-3 yards of each fabric so that you walk away with an item no one else has.

9. We are the only company that offers cards made with vintage fabrics from India. You don't even need a passport to purchase them.

10. We believe hospitality and customer relations go hand in hand. Most of our customers have turned into family friends...so join our family today!

Payments:

Payments are accepted by cash, check or credit card. 

Nationwide Shipping & Home Delivery:

We charge a flat fee of $6.50 per order for shipping within the U.S. Orders are sent via USPS Priority Mail. The Express Mail option is provided for an additional fee of $10.00. We also provide home delivery of paid products within the Jacksonville area for a flat fee of $10.00.

Customer Care Policy:

We have a fabulous team of seamstresses and we rely on them for a quality check that we realize can often slip through the production process. We want to assure you that we back all of our handbags for three months from the date of purchase with a Customer Care Policy. If there are defects such as seams coming apart or embellishments coming off, we will happily repair or replace your handbag. Please note that evening bags of silks and brocades are not meant for daily use to the supermarket.

We Scotchguard all of our handbags but that may not protect your precious tote from a downpour after a dinner party. To care for your bag, spot clean it immediately if it comes in contact with any liquids or stains. Do not throw them into the washer or dryer unless instructed by us - although a handbag may be cotton on the outside, the silk lining may not make it through the wash cycle.
