About Sunisha Designs
I launched Sunisha Design in October 2004. I created logo and a concept and ran with the idea. Here I am with my third website and so many ideas later. My original goal was to create gift wrapping and packaging that could be kept or reused. And thus, Sunisha Designs was born. From the reusable wine and gift bags to handmade and upcycled cards, these items make wonderful hostess gifts and unique event and bridal party favors.
How did handbags enter the product line? My friends and customers had been asking me to design handbags as beautiful and unique as the gift bags. After months of research and finally learning how to use a sewing machine, I launched our first collection of handbags in May 2005. That’s where “I” became “we” as I now have a team of local seamstresses assisting in the production of handbags, totes and the like. The best part is that we can custom make the handbag to accessorize any outfit, style or event. Sunisha Designs is Jacksonville’s only custom handbag design company and we are so proud of that. ”>Nothing is duplicated…oh so couture!”
Our bridal handbags and accessories launched in Spring of 2009. We have already been featured in Jacksonville Magazine and nowhere can you find the magic we can add to your special day.
Coming back to the company, where did I get the name “Sunisha”? ”Sunisha” stems from my first name, Manisha and my husband’s name, Sunil…thus Sun-isha! It is his determination and belief in me that encouraged me to launch Sunisha Designs and pursue my passion of creating and designing products that I hope, you as our customer, will treasure for years to come.
Retail Experience:
We enjoyed a 9-month stint with Fine Flowers in San Marco. It is a wonderful flower and gift boutique just next to the Cake Shop of San Jose. Owners Susan and Aarron were great to work with and our style meshed perfectly with their design asthetics. We loved the experience of playing shop, but customers still beckoned to come to our home studio, so we moved our products back home. We also were lucky to have our products sold at HAVEN in Jacksonville Beach, Pampered & Polished Spa in Arlington and Southside Cellars in the Southside area.
Nationwide Shipping & Home Delivery:
We charge a flat fee of $6.50 per order for shipping within the U.S. Orders are sent via USPS Priority Mail. The Express Mail option is provided for an additional fee of $10.00. We also provide free home delivery of paid products within the Jacksonville area.
Customer Care Policy:
We have a fabulous team of seamstresses and we rely on them for a quality check that we realize can often slip through the production process. We want to assure you that we back all of our handbags for three months from the date of purchase with a Customer Care Policy. If there are defects such as seams coming apart or embellishments coming off, we will happily repair or replace your handbag. Please note that evening bags of silks and brocades are not meant for daily use to the supermarket.
We Scotchguard all of our handbags but that may not protect your precious tote from a downpour after a dinner party. To care for your bag, spot clean it immediately if it comes in contact with any liquids or stains. Do not throw them into the washer or dryerunless instructed by us – although a handbag may be cotton on the outside, the silk lining may not make it through the wash cycle. And we just wouldn’t want to see that happen!
